Liv Crossroads opens in Gilbert

Development partners Liv Communities and Rockefeller Group recently held a ribbon-cutting celebration of their fourth collaborative multi-family community in the Valley in the past nine years.

Local dignitaries and project team members were on hand for the ceremony held at Liv Crossroads, 445 E. Germann Road in Gilbert, according to a release.

Occupancy of the first buildings took place in April and the community is 70% leased. Final completion of the community is expected in February 2022.

“It’s my privilege to thank what has turned into now a real core team. We are a family in a lot of ways,” Liv Communities CEO Scott Brooks said in the release. “Rockefeller Group has helped us build the Liv presence here in the Valley. We rely on each other as partners. We have worked on several communities together. It’s been an incredible journey to build these relationships. Thanking each of these key folks is just the latest.”

When Liv Crossroads is complete, Liv Communities will have 900 rental homes in three communities in Gilbert that represent an investment of $150 million in the town, Brooks said.

Liv Crossroads has 356 units ranging in size from studios to three bedrooms. It comprises 19 buildings plus two amenity buildings that feature the office, resident Hub, co-working space and Liv Fit fitness center, all with 24-hour access to Liv residents.

There also is an over-sized heated resort-style pool and spa, on-site personal training and group fitness, indoor and outdoor community entertainment and recreation areas, and a “bark park” with pet-friendly social events.

Additional community amenities include a rideshare pickup location, the “Mile Shy” walking trail, a community garden, a hammock garden, business center/conference room, outdoor fitness stations, package delivery lockers, a coffee bar, private garages, car care center, electric car charging stations and Wi-Fi in all amenity areas.

Apartment amenities include granite counter tops, patio storage, Internet access points throughout the home, plank flooring, private patio/balcony, private master baths, detached garages available to rent, stainless steel Energy Star appliances and Liv Smart home automation.

“Today is a celebration day; this Liv development is a joint venture we’re really proud to be a part of,” Thomas Weeks, executive vice president and head of development for Rockefeller Group, said in the release. “This is a great community and a great place to live. This is also a great place to work. Gilbert’s growth is proof positive of that.”

Whitneybell Perry is the architect of record and Clark Wayland is the general contractor. Notable subcontractors include Terrascape Consulting, RC Interiors and Anderson Landscape Design, the release states.
